The Before and AFTER!!!!!

So we have finished the house other than a few touch ups of paint etc but I thought I would refresh your memory of what the house looked like before. I have the same areas/views of the before and afters. Enjoy :o)

The front of the house, this was Febuary so there is snow against the house.

The living room looking towards the hallway.

The living room looking from the hallway.

The kitchen.

The breakfast nook.

Looking from the kitchen to the living room.

The small bathroom, you could lift the toilet off the ground!

The second bathroom, they really liked those weird corder sinks.

The shower & toilet in the second bathroom.

The third bedroom.

The fourth bedroom...these 2 rooms became our master bedroom and closet...which is like a little room.

The laundry room.

And now the fabulous afters!!!!!!! ENJOY :o)
The living room looking toards the hall, I still have to rock the fireplace but that is a good winter project!

The living room looking from the hallway.

The kitchen with the beautiful granite that we have been storing for 5 years!

Looking into the kitchen.

The breakfast nook with the great slider that Doug put in...Kit sitting in the window enjoying the view. I cant wait till the spring to put on a deck out the slider.

Looking from the kithchen/breakfast nook to the living room, so nice and open now.

The small bathroom.

The small bathroom, tiled bathtub and we will have the original castiron tub refinished.

The second bathroom with a nice window.

The toilet and shower with alot more room around the toilet and a big closet.

The vanity, just got the mirror so its not hung quite yet. We have so much storage in the bathrooms that half the drawers are empty, got to love that!

Our master bedroom, this is the side of the room of the third old bedroom, walk in closet on the other side of the room.

The master looking in the other direction...I love having a big master!!!!!!
The laundry room with great storage and a new coat closet although we are waiting on the special order closet doors. Good lesson here when you are making new closets keep in mind standard closet door sizes they sell at the store...we didnt think of it and have to special order all of our closet doors.
We also have the 2 spare rooms although one is all my craft stuff and is a mess and I couldnt find a picture of the other one even though I know I took one. Its now time to winterize the house since its getting down into the 20's at night and we are expecting our first snow of the season tomorrow.

We hope to see everyone soon, if you are passing through on I-90, want to come for the day or a weekend please stop by or give us a ring!

The Rental

We got the rental done and we even found a great renter. I posted it on Craigslist and had 13 people in 2 days inquire about it.

Here are a few pictures so you can remember what it used to look like. These pictures were taken during the inspection.

The living room looking towards the bedrooms, the front door would be to the right, kitchen to the left.

Looking into the kitchen towards backdoor. Now we opened the wall to the living room, the fridge is next to the water heater and the oven is in the same place.

Bathroom with no sink but thankfully it had the plumbing for it.

The large bedroom, got to love the wood paneling.

Removing the old windows...disgusting they were.

Heath screwing in the new window...and the nice new front door.

Cleaning around the window was key.
With the final bedroom window. We had to special order the big picture window.

The new back windows, these windows didnt exist before, Heath cut out the holes for them and the nice new back door.

Looking into the kitchen from the front door...nice new window with so much new light and a great view.

The new window in the small bedroom...its no longer the black hole!

Installing the new bathroom fixtures.

The final product...looking from the front door into the kitchen.

looking from the front door towards the bedrooms...with real doors, previously there were blankets for doors!

The living room from the kitchen, still waiting for the special order living room windows at this point.

The kitchen with new floors, sink, counter, molding and beautiful window.

Looking into the kitchen.

Looking into the kitchen from the other direction...this opening was not there before, we opened up the rooms.

The big bedroom...much better then the paneling and orange curtin.

The nice big closet in the big bedroom.

The smaller bedroom.

Looking out the smaller bedroom.

Looking from the bedroom area into the living room...quite large at 14x26.

The bathroom, a new toilet and vanity.

Looking out of the bathroom.

Looking from the corner behind the front door, not too chabby! The carpet is a bit wavy in a few spots but what do you expect when there is concrete under it.

The final look with the new front window...all they need is the final trim around the windows but what a difference!
